Blynk Connectivity

Tetraponics has partnered with Blynk to provide you with remote access and control of your FLORATek 4 system. We selected Blynk because of its powerful features and ease of use.

Requirements

Access to the Blynk functionality on your FLORATek 4 requires a current Remote Access Subscription.

You can access the Blynk dashboard from any computer or with the free Blynk smartphone app. The app is required for the initial device provisioning process.

Setup Instructions

  1. After subscribing to Remote Access, you will receive an email invitation to sign up to Blynk.

  2. Once signed up, install the Blynk app on your smartphone and log in.

  3. On your FLORATek 4 control, navigate to the “WiFi and Updates” menu and select “Enable Blynk”.

  4. On your Blynk app, select add new device, then Find Devices Nearby.

  5. Select your FLORATek 4 control from the list.

  6. Input your WiFi credentials. These will be sent to the FLORATek 4 control, which will then connect directly to Blynk using your WiFi network.

  7. Once successful, you can save your FLORATek 4 device as a custom name, if desired.

You can now access your control directly from the Blynk dashboard on any computer or your Blynk app.

Connection Status

When enabled, Blynk connection status is displayed in the upper right corner of the main status screen:

  • If .X is visible, your FLORATek is not connected to your network (or is not yet provisioned).

  • When connected to Blynk, the connection symbol will cycle as your control communicates with the Blynk servers.

WiFi and Updates Menu

Enable / Disable Blynk

Enables (or disables) the Blynk connection. When enabled, you can provision your FLORATek 4 to your WiFi network using the Blynk app. Once provisioned, your control will save your WiFi network information and will automatically connect in the future.

Reset Blynk

This function will erase all connection and WiFi information from your FLORATek 4 control.

Automatic Updates

When enabled, your FLORATek 4 control will automatically receive, download, and install updates. These updates will only be installed when the control is in the pause mode.

Data Logging

Enable Logging

Enables on-board logging of your control state, EC, pH, setpoints, and temperature. This is logged as a .CSV file in your FLORATek control that can be accessed via USB connection.

Log Interval (min)

Changes the log interval. Shorter durations increase log resolution but decrease overall log duration.

Enable USB

This function switches the control into USB mode. The internal logs can then be accessed via USB-C cable between the FLORATek and any phone or computer. Log files can be copied and/or deleted.

Clear Log

Clears all information from the log file.
